A Recent Redesign: Pecan Ridge

by | Uncategorized

When you are thinking about a website revamp, this is a good project to look at for examples. Back in 1995 when the Cowboys won the superbowl, Microsoft revolutionized computing with the release of Windows 95, and Bill Clinton was in office, Pecan Ridge opened its doors. They are a full service pecan shelling and marketing company that grew over the years to offer a number of pecan related products and treats. Keep in mind that at this time, Amazon.com was not even a year old yet. My, how the Internet has changed!

In 2012, the owners of Pecan Ridge realized their need for a good website with an online store and hired us to accomplish that work. We build a nice website with complete e-commerce capabilities at that time. That first online store rocked along for the next 7 years until the company was sold and the new management decided it was time for a facelift.

That is a major change in their business and a great time to revamp their website. We met with the new sales director to work out what had been in the past in connection to what would be in the future. They wanted a fresh, new look and more modern online store.

The end result of this website was a complete rebuild with new images, content, and a host of new products they had brought in. When the website wrapped up, we did a complete training with their marketing director so he would know how to manage the store, retrieve and update orders, and keep things running smoothly.

We are excited about the future of Pecan Ridge and their continued success online. You can visit their website at http://www.pecanridge.com and make sure to get by their ever growing store at 6201 114th Street Lubbock, TX 79424. Inside scoop: You might even find some products made by Bethany in that store. She is our very own graphic designer and a jam making machine.
