Heather, the owner of Macalester House, is aware of how important it is to be able to enjoy the big events in life and not have to worry about how everything is going to work the day of, and we wanted to reflect this while designing the website for her venue. The home page gives a synopsis of what Macalester House is and what it offers so anyone who visits the website will already have a clear picture of what Macalester House has to give. Because Macalester House is not located in the center of Lubbock, there is also a map marked with a pin on the “contact us” page, and the amenities page has icons detailing what an event at Macalester House includes. Additionally, the gallery displays pictures from weddings past at Macalester House so you can see its beauty for yourself!
The site for Macalester House was designed carefully around the beautiful logo, which is displayed at the top of each page. We wanted to keep the layout elegant and informative without too much cluttering each page. On the amenities page, the icons make it easy to look at and understand what is offered without having to read multiple paragraphs. The Macalester House website feels authentic to the beauty of the venue.
