New Website: Children’s Hope

by | Uncategorized

Children’s Hope is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with corporate offices located in Lubbock, Texas. They have a vision of seeing every child have a permanent living situation that they can call home. In order to do this, it is imperative that the child-adult relationship is healed and rebuilt, and Children’s Hope serves as a critical piece in this process. As a relationship-based residential treatment center for children who have suffered abuse and neglect, Children’s Hope is the only program of its kind in the state of Texas. Children’s Hope aims to rebuild trust between the abused child and authority figures through a relationship-based model, which allows children to learn to place their trust in appropriate authority figures because they have learned to value their relationship with adults.

When we were approached about designing Children’s Hope’s website, we took into consideration the information one would need to see if they were visiting the site to learn how they could volunteer, mentor, or wanted to learn more about the treatment program. The home page publicizes the 5K Hope Run that will take place at the end of October with a button that allows website visitors to register for the race online. It also features opportunities to get involved, including volunteering, mentoring, foster care, residential life, adoption, kinship care, and employment as well as news related to Children’s Hope, ways to participate, frequently asked questions, and resources.

In addition to plenty of information on the home page, we also included success stories from children who have found happy and fulfilling lives after entering Children’s Hope, a description of Children’s Hope’s treatment model, descriptions of services, resources, ways site visitors can get involved (including career opportunities), and a blog to share the good that Children’s Hope is doing for the community.

We are thankful for the opportunity to work with Children’s Hope on their website and are grateful for the work they are doing for children and families!
